Apple Picking

Every year our church goes apple picking together. Apple picking is very popular in New England, I have learned since living here!  I don't remember it being such a big deal growing up in Pennsylvania.  Last year was my first time going.  I was about 6 months pregnant with Genevieve.  I quickly understood why people love it so much.  It's a fun, outdoor family activity that all ages can enjoy.  And I love fall, so I love any activity that has to do with fall.  And best of all, you have tons of apples to take home and make all kinds of goodies with.  So this year, there was no way I was going to let Genevieve miss out on this fun.  It was a beautiful, warm day.  Mike carried her in the pack and I carried the apples.  I think it should have been the other way around because the apples were way heavier, but that's beside the point.  She loved picking apples and playing on the playground equipment.  Such a great day.

Picking her first apple.

Haha!  She didn't care about the picture, she just wanted an apple!

She LOVED the see-saw!

Hanging out with her friends!

We enjoyed the apples for weeks afterwards.  So did she!  I made some applesauce for her, which she loves.    I hope that in the future, she loves fall as much as I do.
