Family Fun

In November we were able to make a trip to Pennsylvania to visit family.  Leroy and Karen got married in October, and were having a dinner to celebrate.  Of course we weren't going to miss the festivities!  So we made the trip down and were able to stick around for six days.

Genevieve had a lot of fun exploring Grandma and Pop-Pop's house now that she can get around.  She even learned to climb the stairs there!  Grandma let Genevieve help cook dinner and even gave Genevieve her old cell phone to play with.  Grandparents know how to spoil their grandkids!  Grandma and I made a trip to a nice children's consignment shop and found a few cute and fun things for the munchkin.

One new thing that Genevieve started doing around this time is dancing.  She would hear music and start bouncing her head up and down.  Now, her dancing includes waving her arms around, twisting her head side to side, and clapping, not in any particular order.  She loves to move with the music!

So, back to our trip...here are some pictures.

Having fun at Gram and Pop's!

Sitting in her great-great-grandfather's high chair.  (Poppy Mayer's)

Genevieve, are you bothering Pop?

Who, me?  Never...

Gram could barely hang on to her!

She LOVES water bottles.

We were able to meet up with my old youth pastor's wife.

When it came time for the wedding celebration dinner, my cousins Mandy and Claire were able to come and watch Genevieve.  It was nice to be out and enjoy a baby-free evening.  And they had a lot of fun watching her.  I was so grateful that they did that for us!

We said goodbye, but knew that it wouldn't be too much longer and we would be back for Christmas.  Can't wait to see what pictures we'll have from that trip!
